Mental Health

Investing in Mental Heath must be a priority of Tallahassee. Between COVID-19, the economic depression, and the Opioid Crisis we see the affects of a failing mental health system in our own backyards. We must change course and also spread more information to end the stigma agaisnt those with mental health conditions.

• Seek out federal and state grants and funding to ensure that HD23 gets fully funded and staffed medical facilities with mental health services.

• Look into Mental Health Education tools to introduce in our Public Education system.

• Combat the leading causes of mental illness in our society (Housing insecurity, economic hardship, lack of nutritious food, etc.).
